  i went camping in pagosa springs with my brother and his family last weekend.

  i asked him if he wanted to do the "cinnamon challenge".

  he had never heard of it before and i had never tried it.

  Problem- yes, beautiful. Mrs Dazed lived in Cali for a number of years before moving to Colorado. She wants to go back to Cali one day.

  I went camping in Pagosa Springs with my brother and his family last weekend. I asked him if he wanted to do the "cinnamon challenge". He had never heard of it before and I had never tried it. I didn’t know that you were supposed to swallow it. I thought you were just supposed to keep it in your mouth as long as possible.

  We had a great time camping, but this was one of the more amusing highlights of the trip.

  this was the theme of a talk at this week's 2nd weekly meeting with the co.. .

  if you are a progressive thinker, so went the reasoning, you will accept all of the adjustments coming from the 'faithful and discreet slave'.. .

  this so hurt my head when wife told me about it; really?.

  forgive me for indulging in a goodbye but it would feel wrong not to,.

  i hope the discussions and atmosphere here do not change for it is a bubbling brew of doubt, bravery and sincere hunger for answers.

  these are healthy ingrediants for humans and especially for a jehovah's witness.. this forum offers not just the ability to ask without consequence, but it also offers the means to be real.

  Fading, Stopping Meetings, DA or DF'ing, Thoughts on Getting the Hell Out Of There

  so i read some threads about why someone remains a ministerial servant or elder, or why they are still active jw's.

  others are telling stories about how they cut back slowly, and some of them got removed as ms/elder/pioneer or whatever.

  yet others tell of how they just up and stopped going one day.

  I left after about a month of learning TTATT (although I didn’t know at the time that’s what it was). In January of 2011 I was publicly reproved for drunkenness. I thought it was a good thing, a blessing from Jehovah. These elders knew for years that I had a problem with alcohol. I went to them in the past about it. About 6-7 months later I was getting discouraged because know one cared how I was doing. No help. No concern. No love. I thought “there’s something not adding up. This can’t be Jehovah’s “loving” organization.” I started with looking at “apostate” sites as an apologist. Then I started to listen to what I was reading.

  I went to my last meeting in September of the same year. Not knowing it was going to be my last one. My wife, a few weeks later, asked me if I was ever going back in tears. I told her I couldn’t. I never imagined she would leave me for stopping. About 16 months later, she joined me.

  We both got out with our 2 little ones. Second best decision I have ever made.
